Connection speed requirements depend on the number of students using the service. As long as you meet these requirements your students are likely to experience faster internet speeds than they would by accessing the Internet directly.

No, you don't need to have any local server hardware, or a local area connection. lightapp provides you with hosted workstations that are personalised, with group folders for shared information.

Local printing in schools, colleges and universities is possible, however it is not yet possible for students and teachers to print from lightapp at home.

lightapp can be customised to include whatever software your organisation requires. lightapp's standard
selection of software is provided, in addition to education software and custom applications. Microsoft Office is also available for an additional fee to cover the license charges.
